Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American actor-producer and stage actress is well-known for her role in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer, who has been involved in the world of film and television. She began her acting career in theater and later appeared in several TV shows and independent as well as mainstream movies. She gained fame for playing Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. In the following year, she made appearances on BET's acclaimed television series The Book of Negroes. She made her professional acting debut in the role of Ariel on the stage in The Tempest in 1995. In addition to the Broadway production Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In her film career her most well-known roles are parts like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. On television, her part in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
