Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports started at the age of 14. She was trained in boxing, kickboxing wrestling and BJJ before making her first amateur appearance at 18 at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd went on an impressive three-fight winning streak in Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent within the first round. After that, she went to WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen and defeated her in an unanimous decision. This put the mark of a loss on Aspen's record in her amateur. Ladd recovered from the loss with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015 when she signed to Invicta FC. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, where she dominated her to secure a first-round TKO. Her next bout was a win against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at Bantamweight for her next fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen used her wrestling expertise to knock down McGill by TKO in the third round (elbows & punches). She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18, which was catchweight(138.1lb) as Ladd did not reach her weight, but Aspen defeated Hoy and defeated her in the second round via TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina by using her ground and pound techniques which resulted in an TKO second round victory. She continued to dominate and got a bigger win when she fought Tonya Evinger, at UFC 229 Ladd won the fight in round one and was awarded the performance of the Night Prize. Her first major fight came during her subsequent fight at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos in which she faced. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Ladd took home the night's main event fight bonus after both fighters fought a fierce fight back and forth. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie was able to finish the fight in just 16 seconds and finish Ladd and her winning streak. Following a brief break her return to the ring and finished Yana Kunizkaya of the UFC in their ESPN 7 third-round fight. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was a unanimous decision.
