
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco is an American professional soccer player who is an attacker and captain for San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) which is the top division of women's soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team.She co-captained the United States women's national soccer team alongside Carli Lloyd and Megan Rapinoe from 2018 to 2020. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at first place in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley in the early part of the year. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. There, she made her professional debut and was a part of the team's success in winning the league title. Morgan at the time, who was 22 years old, was the youngest national player to play at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 where she placed second. In the 123rd minutes of the semi-final clash against Canada in the 2012 London Olympics she scored the game-winning goal. She was the second player in the United States to have 21 assists and 20 goals in 2012. This made her the seventh-youngest and most prolific player in the country to score 20 goals in a single year. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year and was named a FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan was also instrumental in helping the United States win their titles in the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, where she was named to the Dream Team for both tournaments as well as winning the Silver Boot in 2019.
